Woodall services, located between junctions 30 and 31 of the M1, holds the title of Yorkshireβs oldest motorway service area. Originally opened in 1969 and known during planning as the Killamarsh site, it has undergone numerous brand changes and site developments over the decades, including the addition of fast-food outlets, electric vehicle charging hubs, and structural reconfigurations. The site features an iconic history involving various operators, notable historical trivia regarding its local geography and legacy equipment, and a continuous evolution of its facilities to meet modern travelling demands.
