Fuel prices and forecourt details are obtained from the UK Government Fuel Finder API. We check for updated prices approximately every ten minutes, although this can be affected by demand on the API.
If you see an error in this information - for example, the prices being charged at the service area are different to this data - then you can report it to the Fuel Finder website:
Taunton Deane motorway services, situated on the M5, represents a second-generation approach to service area design, prioritising expansive, green landscapes over the densely packed, concrete-heavy layouts seen in earlier projects. Originally conceived as 'Cutsey' during the planning phase in the 1970s, the site faced development delays and contractor issues, with the southbound facility opening in 1977 and the northbound building following in 1989. Over the decades, the site has evolved to manage high seasonal demand through significant refurbishments and the clever use of outdoor space, including a unique long-standing detached coffee annex and various external food kiosks, while maintaining its identity as an important stop on the route between Bristol and Exeter.
