Sawtry services is a compact, £17 million motorway service area on the A1(M) at junction 15 that officially opened in March 2025. Built on the site of the former Toll Bar services, the facility is designed primarily for northbound traffic, with southbound motorists facing a significant two-mile detour. The development features a modern amenity building with a mezzanine level and was constructed to replace older, abandoned roadside infrastructure that had fallen into disuse following changes to the local road network in the late 1990s.
