Northampton services, originally known as Rothersthorpe, underwent a lengthy development process and has seen significant structural changes over the years. The site features two modern amenity buildings positioned within a junction, allowing motorists to navigate between sides without re-entering the main motorway flow. While the facility began with a simple, rectangular design, it has evolved through various extensions, the addition of drive-thru lanes, and an ongoing, multi-phase expansion of electric vehicle charging infrastructure to become a significant hub for Roadchef.
