Kinross services on the M90 holds the distinction of being the most northern motorway service area in the United Kingdom, a title it maintains because, unlike Broxden, it is officially classified as a motorway service area. Originally established as the Turfhills Tourist Centre by the Tayside Regional Council in 1979 to promote local tourism, the site was later acquired by Granada in 1981 and eventually rebranded under the Moto banner in 2001. The facility is noted for its unconventional layout, featuring a long, narrow corridor and a dog grooming business in an outbuilding, and despite extensive plans for a modern reconstruction in 2010 being postponed indefinitely, the site has seen incremental improvements, including an M&S Simply Food store and an expanded electric vehicle charging hub.
