Killington Lake services, designed to complement the northbound Tebay site, is a distinctive motorway service area situated on the M6 that prioritises scenic reservoir views. Although its initial development faced delays and early criticism regarding its small size, a 1985 reconstruction established a functional layout with lakeside dining and hotel facilities that remains largely unchanged today. The site has gained a reputation for excellence, particularly for its highly-rated toilets, and is widely considered one of the quieter and more pleasant stops on the English motorway network, with future expansion plans currently in place to further enhance its amenities.
