Fuel prices and forecourt details are obtained from the UK Government Fuel Finder API. We check for updated prices approximately every ten minutes, although this can be affected by demand on the API.

If you see an error in this information - for example, the prices being charged at the service area are different to this data - then you can report it to the Fuel Finder website:

Kate's Cabin originated in 1939 as a humble roadside cafΓ© and truckstop, eventually lending its name to the entire service area. Over the decades, it evolved from a traditional transport stop with a pianola-equipped bar to a modern commercial site, undergoing several changes in ownership, including stints under BP and Applegreen before being brought under the Welcome Break banner. After the closure of the original cafΓ© and the demolition of the old building, the site was redeveloped in 2026 to include new drive-thru facilities, electric vehicle charging, and a Little Waitrose, while the nearby southbound site at Alwaltonβ€”once home to a long-serving Little Chefβ€”remains a separate entity that never gained formal service area status.
