The Enfield motorway service area on the M4 opened in October 2010 as part of the initial tranche of Irish service station contracts, which saw the operator Applegreen win the bid against competitors like Welcome Break. Situated in County Kildare, despite its name, the facility is unique for being the only service area in Ireland exclusively accessible from a tolled motorway. Over the years, the site has evolved significantly, transitioning from its original dining brands to current offerings such as Braeburn Coffee and Crafted, while also updating its accessibility features and undergoing a major westbound relaunch in 2026.
