Opened in September 2025 following a 15 million Euro investment, the Dunshaughlin service area serves as a significant hub on the M3. As the first Applegreen site to launch in nearly a decade, it introduced a new dark colour scheme and featured Ireland’s first Taco Bell, which generated substantial public interest and queues. The facility incorporates modern design elements like faux grey brickwork, wooden beams, and improved pedestrian access, alongside a mix of retail brands including M&S Food, Burger King, and Braeburn Coffee. The development faced a complex planning history, with previous proposals for the M3 being stalled, quashed, or rejected until this site was finally approved and completed.
