Cornwall Services, situated on the A30 near Roche, began as an independent motorway-style rest stop that opened in 2014 after years of previous planning attempts for the site. Over the next decade, the location became well-known for its unique mix of local and specialist retailers, alongside the later addition of a hotel and extensive electric vehicle charging facilities. Following a period of significant development and shifts in its tenant mix, the site was acquired by Welcome Break in 2026, marking a transition from its origins as a proudly independent, community-focused operation to being part of a major national service network.
