Baldock services, which was originally referred to as Radwell services during its planning phase, officially opened in January 2001. The site has hosted various businesses over the years, such as the Regus Express Workpod and the Sleep Inn hotel, and the petrol station was once operated by Texaco and Somerfield. Notable culinary milestones include the introduction of the first motorway-based German Doner Kebab unit and the recent rebranding of the fish and chip outlet to Harry Ramsden's. The site is also becoming a significant hub for electric vehicle charging, featuring new IONITY chargers and a GRIDSERVE eHGV station, with future plans for a Starbucks drive-thru.
